Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Location was right in the centre of Wells. Reasonable price for the location. Somehow our request for a twin room wasn't communicated, but the staff immediately split the double into two singes.

Lack of parking, Room was small but adequate for a single night. There was a broken electrical fitting in the bathroom (mentioned to hotel at the time) and the handbasin was cracked.

Large bedroom and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Convenient for town centre. Good furnishings.

Stairs to room a bit awkward.

The location is amazing.

The car park is too far away and the outside stairs isn’t the best.

Location was picturesque. Pub was very friendly and welcoming. Room was comfy and clean.

Shower didn't get hot in room 10. the air freshener in the room was quite overpowering.

Very friendly staff, lively pub used by locals with good atmosphere and good food. The room was clean and attractive with excellent hanging space and a clean bathroom. Our room overlooked the cathedral close. There was a good breakfast with lots of choice of cooked options.

No parking on site, but there is an overnight car park a few minutes' walk away, which is free from 6pm to 9am. There can sometimes be some noise from people in the beer garden, but staff will ask them to quieten down if it disturbs the overnight guests.

Room rather shabby with some mould in the ensuite.

Being woken up by the fire alarm at 1am, twice!! No apology from anyone. No explanation. A young lad (looked like kitchen staff) talking in the courtyard area on the phone (possibly had his headphones in) the whole conversation was echoing in the courtyard after the 1am fire alarm. My husband and I didn't sleep well after that. Mirror in bathroom too high unless you're taller than 5ft 10. The kettle had black bit in it. Had to rinse and boil several times to clear it. The extension cable that the kettle plugs into dangles dangerously. Mouldy silicone around the bath and the bathroom ceiling was marked a lot. The shower heads covered in limescale. The bathroom light above the bathroom mirror had a cord to turn on and off. It didn't turn off. When a woman took us to our room it was up a wooden staircase, I said oh, its upstairs!! She looked at me and said we only have one disabled room. I wasn't asking for a disabled room. Why did she assume I was disabled? Not that I should justify myself. My reason for the stairs comment is having a bad knee. At breakfast no butter, had to ask. No staff when we checked out. The welcoming we got upon arrival was not great. Shame we weren't informed there was live music on that evening and the pub could get busy. The bar staff were lovely at dinnertime and found us a table reasonably quick
