The Pack Horse

Room was good, but owner was obsessed about her maxiflow ensure, going on about the toilet and not to much foam in shower. Had to wait an hour for our food. Was told they had a live band but we would not hear them . So loud till 11.20. Town shut on Saturday pm as well

This is a local 'proper' pub, well frequented by locals, so has a great atmosphere if you like that sort of thing. Therefore, you need to bear in mind that people will be leaving at gone 11pm and that there will be pub noises throughout the evening if you want an early night. Food was OK.

We have stayed at this pub before. Rooms are comfortable and warm, we stayed in room 1 , the TV could be bigger! its a lovely large room but the TV is small. The bar is welcoming and the beer good!

Stay was ok but the woman in the bar who checked us in and served breakfast was miserable and the room was so hot my friend got no sleep and left at 4am so she could actually get some sleep at home! You couldn't turn the radiator off or down.. Breakfast was nice though, once someone came to serve you

We had a lovely stay room was lovely bed very comfortable and staff were great also had a great breakfast would go again.

Warm welcome, comfortable room and good food , reasonably priced

used as a over night stay for business trip. nice and friendly staff, rooms worm and comfortable, breakfast very nice. selection of real ales.

Perfect location for exploring Dartmoor,staff really welcoming-no problems.

Refreshing and pleasant, really worth the time and effort too go, people friendly and helpful.!

Welcoming atmosphere, very reasonable food and drink. Generous helpings of food. Bedroom spacious and quiet. Off road parking and nice village feel. An older pub with some character. Overall happy and will be back.
