The Pack Horse

Well received at the hotel.. even on a rainy day.. shown to our room & booked a table for dinner. Food & service were excellent, as was the cooked breakfast the next morning. Great to see people having fun & enjoying their work...keep it up,

We didnt feel welcome. Place seemed on its last legs. A sign said this place has not been checked for zombies - which pretty much says it all. We found a better pub in the village with a bit of life and frienliness but on return from this we found ourselves locked out!

On arriving we were taken by surprise by the very run down appearance of the inn. Inside was alot better though. The staff were very friendly but we found the landlady a little unaccomadating. Our 2 breakfasts were very filling, set us up for the day and our meal the first evening was excellent but my meal the second night was fine , however my husband had lasagne which was inedible, we should have sent it back.

Overnight stay after a business meeting. Very pleasant staff and good food. Entrance to the car park is tight and alternative parking is scarce and a distance away.

Terrible stay, they did not even change out sheets or clean the room when we went out for the day. Had to ask for loo roll when it ran out. The locals were racist and tried to cause trouble (we are a interracial couple).

A friendly place to stay where locals and staff chat and make one feel welcome. Food was good and home made. Later in the evening sone locals sung ballads. A truly enjoyable experience.

Easy to find, room was nice but in need of upgrading, good beer, breakfast was great, staff very helpful.

They need to install double glazing in the front bedrooms secondary would help

Nice enough folks running the place but it needs some new investment to update the fabric of the building.

Nice hotel, only issue was the parking. Tight getting our van in especially when other vehicles were blocking the entrance. Apart from that it suited us just fine.
