Great place to stay, good service and easy parking for large van, excellent breakfast.

The hotel is basic but clean and well run. I was greeted by Kirsty one of the owners who was lovely. Explained everything I needed. The room was spacious and clean and also nice and quiet. I ate in the restaurant and the food was lovely. Very well prepared and good value. Also there is a good selection of real ales in the bar. I will certainly return when in the area.

Excellent accommodation, great staff, very friendly and good value

The accommodation far exceeded our expectations. It was modern comfortable and stylish Staff were both helpful and friendly

Very spacious clean rooms but musty smell. Comfortable bed. Very basic breakfast.

Very comfortable, spacious room and although on busy road, not disturbed by traffic noise. Shower was not powerful enough for my liking but apart from that, faultless. Meal in the pub was great and staff very friendly and attentive. Lovely breakfast, poached egg done to perfection, great bacon but disappointed that there was no sausage, beans, mushrooms or grilled tomatoes but then I am a gannet for breakfast!

Our room was like home from home, everything as expected. The vestibule in room 1 was great for helping keep the room warm and separated from the outside and removing our outdoor wear when entering and egressing, but perhaps lacking some coat hooks. Apart from that, the hotel staff and facilities were really good. The Swan at Choppington is well worth a visit.

The hotel was in a good location with bus stop right outside. The owners and staff were very helpful, pleasant and went out of their way to offer assistance. Room was well serviced. The room seemed a little musty but possibly because it had not been used recently. Overall a very good stay, and would definitely stay there again.

We had travelled up from the south and arrived late afternoon. Despite the reservation confirmation stating that the room would be available from 3pm we were unable to obtain entry to the hotel and no one answered our knocks on the door etc. Although tired we went off for a drive and returned later when we again found the doors locked but rang the doorbell on what appeared to be the private accommodation of the owner who seemed unperturbed by the fact that we had been previously unable to get access. This was a bad start but the room was clean and served its purpose well and the staff at the breakfast the next morning were friendly. For the price the Swan was good value.
