Riding Farm

Beautiful old farmhouse at the end of a country lane, currently being restored, what a great job they've done. Lovely luxurious bedroom and ensuite and so quiet. Very helpful owners, especially when booking tickets to the Beamish Museum, thanks for that!

Quiet, very comfy bed, very hospitable welcome and accommodating. Lovely breakfast.

Had to use stairs but we knew that beforehand

Host was very pleasant and helpful. The room was bright, clean and comfortable.

I like a hard mattress and my wife likes a soft mattress, so her luck was in. The breakfast was a little disappointing, I was hoping for a nice spread of croissants, ham and cheese etc and I ended up with a sausage and bacon sandwich, which was ok but not for the price.

Lovely farmhouse, Louise and Angus were friendly and helpful, we had some great chats with Louise. Plenty of choice at breakfast, there was even a homemade cake in the bedroom when we arrived, lovely touch. Huge, thick and fluffy towels, and the bedding was so comfortable. Perfectly placed for the Beamish Museum, and the Angel of the North. We hope to go back one day, maybe with family, and book a cottage.

Check in process was confusing No milk or tea on arrival as stated in reviews Bed was very hard and bathroom was very hot because of towel rail not being able to turn it down.
