A bit noisy as it’s a popular pub

Situation in centre of thriving small town. Very friendly atmosphere. Good value for money.

A nice peaceful and pleasant location in the heart of historical Hampshire. Beautiful old working pub with chalet type rooms to the rear with free parking. Room nicely presented with good access and nice comfortable bed

If you go on a Sunday you'll won't find an evening meal locally as the pub stops about 3pm, as does the other pub up the road. There's a Co-op, small Tescos and a burger shop however. Don't visit in the hot summer if you're a hayfever sufferer with a phobia of wasps, as the entire area is obsessed with floral displays and hanging baskets😫 Needless to say the windows were kept firmly shut but a decent size desk fan was provided. For the price paid there really isn't much to moan about and I would happily return!

Very central. A good size bar and restaurant. The accommodation was small but a good proportions

There was nowhere to leave the key. The pub was supposed to start serving food at 8 but there doors were still shut at 8:05 when I had to leave ( as I was already late). I left the key in the room in the end!

The staff were excellent and friendly and the manager Nick helped us greatly with a medical emergency and allowed us to book another night so we could have time to get well before driving onwards.

Our room was above the rear patio and being summer with warm weather, it was loud and busy until near midnight. Not blaming but do bring earplugs if you happen to book that room.

Room size, wardrobe walk in, big shower space, parking.

Would like brekkie to be included.
