Americas Best Value Inn DeRidder

I wasn’t expecting to get breakfast but when I drove by the office/lobby area to exit the property, it didn’t look like any breakfast was available. Not a big deal to me but it could be to someone else.

It said breakfast included but there was only coffee and individually wrapped muffins like little Debbie's.

I had a reservation and the owner kept telling me no because we was asleep and didn’t want to bother checking his computer I had to sleep in the car

Nothing worked ice machine was down the breakfast was a sweet roll no coffee and no cups

Booked and confirmed on hotels.com Got to hotel and said no rooms available and didn’t know how to refund me my money!

I got a non smoking room that smelled of smoke. Lights didn’t work properly and half the lamps didn’t have light bulb. I will not book again

Property is in town. The price was great. The room is a standard American hotel room. No bells and whistles, but we were not requiring any.

I booked a smoking room and told they didnt have it, really slow rude staff. I went in for breakfast at 8 am and nothing out so I ring bell and they owner comes out rude I asked for the breakfast and she stormed off and brought back frozen cinnamon rolls. I also put towels outside my door and housekeeping never picked them up so the owner comes over yelling at me

My room was ok. Had a funny smell. There were sunflower seed shells shoved in the side of the cushioned chair. Some trash left on the floor. Other than that it was fine. I was too tired to try and have it changed. Check in and out was interesting. The lady hardly spoke English and was difficult to understand. Not very friendly either.
