Protea Hotel by Marriott Walvis Bay Pelican Bay

The food & location were great.

Property needs a revamp. Carpets in rooms need to be replaced.

Chefs too few at breakfast. Overwhelmed especially at eggs station. My aircon did not work and the problem wad not resolved for the full 3 days i was there.

Staff responsiveness can be improved. All rooms were twin yet i had specifief that 1 room should have a double or quee bed. Was only converted after i requested.

Welma contacted me from before my arrival to ask how she could help with booking activities, airport transfers, suggestions on restaurants to eat at and provide assistance. Welma is an absolute gem - friendly, kind and her initiative to make my stay memorable for my birthday by suggesting a desert photoshoot , was priceless! Her colleagues at the main desk were also welcoming and friendly. The location was great, I look forward to staying there again!

The location is very good. Also nice bed.

The walls between the rooms are extremely thin, you can basically hear your neighbor breathing. Also numerous other small problems during our stay.
