Barrowfield Hotel

Traditional comfortable and welcoming hotel. The manager is brilliant both helpful and funny and he made us - Me and my GrandDaughter feel very welcome. We had an amazing room, the beds were sooo comfortable- we had an en-suite and a side seaview - it was lovely. The food was delicious, meat a mixed veg dishes, various fish dishes, home made Lasagne and shepherds pie - the roast dinners were proper yummy with the best Yorkshire pudding ever. We were both blown away by the quality of the food. The evening entertainment was fun with bingo a quiz and great singers/ comedians. The hotel is real old school style not the horrid grey and black modern soulless type and it’s kept immaculately clean and tidy. The swimming pool is an added luxuary and a pool table adds some fun. I would 100% recommend this hotel - you will not be disappointed.

The bed was so comfy. Just what I needed after a long days travel.

I thought the location was a little basic. But Im not complaining.

We stayed here for the Boardmasters festival and it was ideally located being so close to several beaches and where the buses stopped to take you to Boardmasters. The reception staff were lovely and very welcoming. The hotel could use some updating but it was clean and tidy. We didn't have any shower gel in the bathroom which was a shame but there was a Tesco 2 minutes up the road so we could pick some up. The hotel has huge potential and it is a big hotel with a quiet floor but there were just a few little things that let it down.

Great location and staff. The property could use a little updating, but for the price- I can't complain.
