Hadrian Hotel - Inn

The room was of good size, but shower had very poor water pressure! The wifi was slow and poorly managed. Dinner: steak was poorly prepared and a waste of a meal. The hotel is in a good location for a hadrian wall hike and is the only reason to stay there.

The staff could not be more helpful, taxis, hairdressers, extra people to accomodate. The menu is amazing - not for slimmers though as portions are large. The bedrooms are lovely but the bathroom is ready for a change. The views are great and for Wall visitors - very central

Lovely setting but the whole place is in need of an overhaul! Front door hinges don't work which produces an almighty tremmor when the doors each slam shut, our room was directly over the porch which made our room rattle. Furniture in the dining room would have been very regal about 30 years ago but in desparate need of replacement. Everywhere was in need of updating, wires around cornices, wallpaper coming away from walls, windows I need of replacement! On the other hand the food and beer was excellent. Great choice of pub food and daily specials and cooked to good standard. There were four different real ales on tap too. Great pub/hotel but needs a lot of TLC.

We only stayed one evening and although the hotel is out of the city centre the hotel provided a pleasant atmosphere to while away a couple of hours. A pool table in the bar was used, a few drinks in front of fire and excellent food served. Very spacious rooms

The Hotel is in a very good location, beds comfortable & clean. Skirting boards hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Bathroom very dirty round edges. Bath sealant black. Toilet green residue on hinges. Beaker in bathroom had toothpaste residue from previous occupant. In lounge very dusty.

When we arrived the room was lovely and warm. Great after being out in the cold. The room was very large, comfortable and clean. The internet connection was excellent and quick to set up. The food was great. An excellent breakfast. Staff very friendly and efficient. We could definitely recommend this hotel.

Took us a while to locate but well worth the effort - right on the edge of a lovely little village with views over the garden and paddocks. Room was old fashioned comfort - the bed was beautiful. The pub food was fresh and tasty and the dining room encouraged conversation with the other guests quite a few were Hadrian Wall walkers, so very entertaining conversation.
