Landmar Costa los Gigantes Family Resort

We stayed at this resort for a family wedding at the sister hotel next door. Great for families with children. Our children are grown up so we enjoyed the spa when not at the wedding or with family. The spa was great and we enjoyed some lovely massages with Angeles, Carolina and Ivanessa .

The holiday overall was better than average but lacked in quite a few places. We were in E block and it was lovely and quiet away from the main area which meant we didn’t hear all the noise at night- great because we have three small children who need sleep! A family member was in B block and music/entertainment noise kept her awake until late. The suite was spacious. The sleeping arrangements were unsafe though and little thought went into it. We have a 7 month old who was provided with a cot, fine. And we have a 3 year old and 2 year old. There was a single folding bed which was very high off the ground. The ground was tiled. No sides to the bed so this felt very unsafe should our child roll over in the night and fall out. Then there was, what they describe as a sofa bed. This was in fact just a sofa. The sofa did not pull out like a traditional sofa bed would, my child was expected to sleep horizontally across the sofa. Again no side to it so this was also unsafe. We were denied an extra cot so we ended up turning the sofa the other way around against the wall so the back of it meant my child couldn’t fall out. My youngest had to sleep in her pushchair and my middle child took the cot. The bathroom had a very disgusting offensive sewage smell 24/7. It really was repulsive. I let reception know but that wasn’t resolved. Other than that, the room was good. They provided arrival snacks and drinks (fridge never replenished again, would have been nice to have a couple bottles of water a day as a minimum). There was a chalk easel for my kids and a play tent although they took up quite a bit of room. High chair for baby was very handy. The coffee machine was completely mouldy so unusable. The cleaners did a good job cleaning each day although at one point they removed a duvet of my husbands bed and never replaced it which was strange. My family member celebrated a birthday while we were there and they left a bottle of Prosecco for her in the fridge which was a thoughtful extra. The food was varied although not of the best quality. The best part was the lasagne on Italian night. Lots of fresh fruit always available at meal times. Some children’s options for fussier eaters. We liked the à la cart restaurant Bones. The snacks in the day were extremely repetitive. No variation at all. And there was only one type of ice cream available unless you paid in the shop. I didn’t make use of the kids/baby club so no comments on that although the kids disco in the evening was fun for them. We were Landi Club members which meant you got a separate seating area at meal times which had its own perks such as special drinks available and its own crepe station in the morning. It also meant we had exclusive cocktails only available to members. The local area is extremely hilly, not walkable for some. Young children and elderly would struggle. We did walk to a couple of local supermarkets which was hard work! We got a taxi to the marina which cost around €5. The hotel helped us order it. We did a day trip organised by the hotel to the Adeje market which was nice just to break up the day a bit. It gets very busy, so much so that it feels a bit claustrophobic. But managed to get a couple of replica bags and some souvenirs. The pools aren’t heated which can be a bit of a shock when you first get in. The pool with the water slide was shut which was a shame. Always plenty of sun beds available so no need to reserve them first thing in the morning. My children really enjoyed it. I would probably return if I found a cheaper deal.

Great hotel, beautiful location. 5 min drive from the marina and beach of Los Gigantes. Great animation team, big shout out to Sofia, Laura, Oscar and Himmi. Wonderful team! We also loved the food and service in the restaurant. Unfortunately dont know any names but they were all doing a great job! My favorite dinner was the Indian themed, sooooo tasty. Our HK lady did a great job, we were in O339, she was a blond lady (06/16-20). It is a great hotel for families. Our daughter (5) could enjoy the kids club and minidisco, while our 3 years old son played minigolf and went to the playground. He could have gone to the kids club with a parent though. The buffet had a small buffet for the kids to help themselves, great idea! Parking is available for extra charge.

No hay servicio de seating … entonces a la hora de la comida / cena para 7 era horrible. Las mesas de plastico , como en un bar. Los bares de fuera era todo frito y nada variado para 1 semana. Muy poca variedad en el restaurante tb. Decir q en abril cerraron el restaurante de fuera. Entonces muy monotono. El jamón, estando en España, brillaba por su ausencia.

Food was lovely, restaurant was clean, quick and friendly staff

We had a lovely week here 4 adults and a 5yo - the hotel felt like good value for money. The rooms are basic but good storage. O block ‘sea view rooms’ are very quiet in the evening once the crazy golf and high ropes have closed. The food and drinks were fairly average (we found a piece of bacon on the vegetarian pizza one night which wasn’t ideal!!) but the service was always friendly - particularly Leon. The pool was heated and the kids entertainment was better than other hotels we’ve stayed at on Tenerife. We were sad the water slides weren’t functional during our stay but otherwise we had a lovely time.

Absolutely amazing place. The organisation of the hotel regarding room cleaning, food, buffet evening entertainment everything is absolutely fantastic. Would stay here again, especially because the kids loved it so much. Cant fault anything. If I could give it 6 stars I would. My wife has coeliac, when we got to the hotel we let them know they provided us with a small piece of paper for allergens and we were to give this to the chefs at meal times and they went through what was available to eat and what meals they can prepare for her. Some nights it was pizza, others it was carbonara or other types of spaghetti or breads etc. Only two tiny things that I wouldn't class as faults were .on checking out we were told we could use the spa to shower ready for the trip home, we arrived at the spa and the admin said we should of booked and that we could not use their facilities we seemed a bit disorganised as had we had been told that we needed to book we would have done so. .shower pressure and temperature. The shower pressure in the hotel room was pants, the temperature of the water was never at a consistent temp long enough to have a shower it was either freezing cold or boiling hot. Nothing to put us off visiting this place again should we on the near future. Temp was around 23 degrees everyday, no clouds, uv index was highest around 2 to 4pm so got the kids out the pool had dinner re suncream then back in the pool otherwise that uv is deadly to pale skin ha.

La comida

El día 12/06/2026 acudimos al hotel Landmar Costa los Gigantes en Puerto Santiago y nos asignaron la habitación 0141. Llegamos a la habitación por la noche y había una cucaracha la cual matamos pero no dijimos nada ya que entendiamos que podría haber entrado por la puerta al entrar o salir nosotros de la habitación. Al día siguiente, por la noche volvemos a entrar en la habitación y había otra cucaracha y la matamos de nuevo. Nos acostamos en la cama y vemos otra cucaracha caminando por el cabecero de la cama por lo que decidimos irnos a recepción y nos cambian de habitación a la 0355, al llegar revisamos la habitación y había otra cucaracha. Evidentemente puse una reclamación en el alojamiento y he solicitado el reembolso a través de Booking. No se trata de una cucaracha aislada, ya que como relato, eran varias y lo peor es que se metían por debajo del armario. El sábado día 13/06/2026 tuve que abandonar el hotel ya que no iba a dormir en habitaciones con cucarachas y menos con mi hijo pequeño. Lo peor es la poca profesionalidad que tienen ya que no responden a las reclamaciones a través de Booking y le he enviado un correo al hotel y tampoco he recibido respuesta.
