Apex Waterloo Place Hotel

I was in Edinburgh on business for a few days with a hectic schedule and working from my room in between and found this hotel clean, with nice stylish interior, staff were brilliant. I wasn’t able to use the gym or spa facilities unfortunately but I plan to return with my family to Edinburgh soon and will certainly stay back here and make better use of the amenities.

Not a lot

Rooms were appalling. Maybe they save the worst rooms for Booking.com customers ?? Room 117 window screened off so you cant see the huge skip 1ft from window. Room 119 looks straight at the bins they get collected at 6:20am.

A variety of breads at breakfast would have been appreciated , rather than just toasting bread. Also prunes were missing from the fruit selection. Otherwise everything excellent.

Bra läge. Bra och stort rum. Sköna sängar. Bra frukostutbud med kompletterande beställningsmeny. Bra utbud i badrummet med handwash/body lotion/shampoo/conditioner.

En del ljud från trafiken utanför. Inga grönsaker till frukost. Inga handdukskrokar eller toaborste i badrummet.

Friendly, professional on arrival, great welcoming entrance. Room upgrade on check-in and room lovely and spacious. Great location, perfect for train station and in the heart of the city

Just one lift working due to an upgrade so had to use stairs most of the time

The hotel was in a great location, away from the very busy areas, overall it was very clean. The bar was great. The restaurant looked great, but we didn’t have time to go there. Staff was very friendly and helpful. However, there are stairs in the hallways to get to your rooms, and also we were upgraded, which was an awesome perk until we were following the signs for our room number only to realize it was through three extra doors and up two flights of stairs without any accessibility! The AC also didn’t go low enough for the rooms to get cool, and the bed was very hard so if you don’t like a soft bed, it would be the place for you!
