Hotel Julien Dubuque

The lobby is beautiful. It has a very nice bar with comfortable seating areas.

Hotel Julien is a beautiful, grand old hotel with accommodating staff, and a good central location. The space in the suites was nice, and the bed was comfortable. We appreciated a full size kitchen. Unfortunately, one bedside lamp did not work (the light bulb was fine, but the lamp base had to be jiggled for the light to stay on); curtains, sheers, and the broken kitchen blind were covered in dust, and the glass top table, chairs, and sofa were dirty (coins and crumbs on the sides of the cushions). Charging electronics was inconvenient. This was our second time to stay, but until there is a major renovation of the rooms, we sadly won’t return.
