Timber Cove Resort

Great place to stay on the coast. Nice food. Cozy rooms. Quiet. Welcoming. Nice lounge. Good walking trails. Our favorite.

Everything was wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay.

A lovely coastal retreat. Friendly staff and dog friendly as well. The food was lovely and cocktails at the bar were strong and tasty. It would be nice if there was a pool or hottub, but otherwise a great location to unwind and find some quiet views of the coast. Pillows were small and square. I'd bring my own next time.

Brilliant design and architecture, incredible attention to detail.

Please please please please take care of the corner of the wooden bed frame - people hit it accidentally all the time because the mattress corner stops earlier than the wooden bed frame. You won't have hard time finding it, it looks worn off of as probably so many people hit it with their legs across years. Just cut it off and it will stop a small detail messing with the legendary stay.

Trails winding along the coastline make the most of Timber Cove’s amazing setting. The onsite restaurant, Coast Kitchen, is excellent.

We stayed at Timber Cove Resort to literally unplug from our busy lives. From the scenic drive from SFO, the weather, the people and the natural scenery on our hikes and the beach, our stay at Timber Cove is exactly what we hoped. We had a ocean view, 2nd floor room and it was perfect. With the exception of the waves hitting the rocks, it was so quiet and serene. We also dined at the hotel, had a couple of drinks, sat at the fire pit and just generally unwound. We can't wait to visit again.

The views are stunning! The food was delicious! And the hotel felt so cozy with the lounge and fireplace going. It was magical! We appreciate all the games you had to offer!

Overall we loved the beauty, decor and theme of this resort. It would've helped greatly to have signage where the lobby/check-in is from the parking lot. Several people were confused. Also would've helped to have had a quick tour at least verbal tour of the property, features, and locations of things. Rooms 40-42 (we were in 41) are right under a big community deck and so it sounds like a stampede above you from very early in the morning until late at night. Forget sleeping, going to bed early or a nice mid day nap. This part honestly ruined our peace/trip since we came for a serene getaway. And we asked for a late check out because our sleep had been so horrible and were told no. We would come back again but absolutely not in those rooms. There should be a note about those rooms on the website and they should be the lowest tier in pricing. Earplugs should also be offered in those rooms. Robes were old, dingy and had snags and strings coming off them. There was a vacuum cleaner and garbage bag sitting in front of the room next door to us (room 42, I think) for over 24 hours and an empty large black garbage back left in the planter outside our door. There was a pile of mopped dog hair in the bathroom and stains on one of the pillows. There were muddy dog prints on the wall of the deck outside our room. There was also a wet spot on our toilet paper roll that soaked through most of the roll after the room cleaners left. There were no sheer curtains (but there was a track where they used to be) to let in the light so either you have to have the blackout curtains closed the whole time or no privacy through the sliding door. For breakfast one morning we ordered avocado and were told they were out. Another couple next to us also ordered avocado and it never came. However the couple on the other side of us ordered avocado and got it.

Fabulous experience. Beautiful place, room and staff just wonderful. I’d highly recommend the restaurant as well. Food is amazing!
