Hotel Harbour View

Wonderful location! We walked to multiple old town sites with ease. The area was safe and full of people enjoying the promenade. The staff was very helpful. They were very fast about responding to our request for towels and a hair dryer. Additionally, at check out three bell boys walked us out and got a taxi for us. (We only had two small suitcases. One bell boy would have been enough. But they were always so helpful and kind that three of them walked us out.) We chose a room with waterfront view. The view was gorgeous. As the name of the hotel says, Harbour View, the room had a perfect view of the Harbour. We could also glimpse the Gate of India at an angle from our window. The room was comfortable and had a boutique charm, though quite aged and plain. We were able to exchange money at a very competitive rate. Other hotels in India had poor exchange rates up to a loss of 10%. The Harbour View had a fantastic rate. The hotel has a terrace restaurant. The breakfast was filling and the waiter very attentive. We also had a late lunch on the terrace once. I didn’t care much for the menu options as it was hard to find something vegetarian that didn’t have onions. At other restaurants the waiters were quick to offer to have meals made without onions for me.

Hotel Harbor View is in a great location for tourists--great shopping nearby and lots of excellent eating places nearby. The hotel is cozy and well-managed. Service is excellent. The rooftop restaurant is really very good. Wonderful view.

Fantastic location. Same view as Taj but 1/4 of the price. Great staff. Very helpful. Room with sea view is great.

Fantastic location! Cleanliness could be much better and ceiling above shower was covered in mild. Breakfast was ok, shame no fruit and poor quality tea / coffee.

Great location. Clean rooms. Good view. Wi-Fi was fast but often down. Overall loved the stay and would do it again. Book early.

I do not recommend this hotel at all. Filthy black mold in the bathrooms and should be closed down in my view based on health concerns for cleanliness/ disease. The images on the expedia website are absolutely not what this hotel offers. I will be requesting a full refund as will the 7 other people who stayed there.
