It was really dirty, even had open packet of gone off chicken in the fridge from previous guests. Fridge wasn't even working. Hair all over the bathroom. The sink was blocked. Dirty towels and rubbish left in the corridors the whole time we were there.
GBWe refused to stay, it was the worst hotel room i have ever seen, bed was filthy, stains, hairs and lots of black bits on the mattress protector. Out side the room was at least 20 cigarettes butts, room needed a full refurb. First room we paid for a river view and you could not see the river with the trees. It was disgraceful, i work in a hotel and have never seen such a dirty room.

We have stayed here last year with no complaints so thought we would upgrade as we did need air conditioning also wanted a river view. There was no air conditioning the view was of a weed filled poorly kept area, couldn’t open doors on to the area as it’s almost on a path so security wise I didn’t want to leave open as we showered, no fan on bathroom so condensation filled the room. Poorly maintained, asked for an iron on the first day, stated we had one in room but just got an ironing board, never got an iron so lent one from another room. Nobody around to ask for more tea or coffee so went and bought some at Tesco. Being woke up and 04:30 by banging and shouting, from then on a constant stream of people, when we left the room we were right near house keeping and kitchen area so we heard all of there movements from early on in morning. Not wise to have rooms beside working areas. Really dissatisfied this year so won’t return as we had busy days so getting woken up at 430 was awful plus it was muggy so sweating but couldn’t open a window as it was door on a path as stated, but no air conditioning. Yes we got a good deal but I doubt we were in a privilege room as standard room was way better. Rebooked next year in another hotel as the “upgrade” has really put me off. We stayed in room 6.
