Hotel du Vin Brighton

Quilt was stained when we arrived. It was changed but not offered anything. You know a drink at the bar , nothing. Supposed to be a delux room but was tierd especially the bathroom. Not delux and as you will know not cheap either. The hotel needs to sort a concession parking rate out aswell with the lanes parking. £ 40 overnight stay. Not good

I completely love the Hotel Du Vin chain, however, my experience in Brighton was fairly awful. Our room was a bit of a disappointment from the second we arrived. The woodwork on the desks etc. was rather scuffed, scruffy and tired and not really the standard you would expect. Silly little things like only 1 towel being hung out in the bathroom, only one pillow each on the bed etc. that were just surprising. That being said the bathroom was lovely as was the rest of the hotel so we thought we would probably have a lovely time. Sadly, after going out for a nice dinner we returned to the hotel to sleep. A key function of a hotel.. it was not to be. The bed was embarrassingly awful. I mean, not fit for sleeping on awful. It sunk deeply in the middle, provided no support and would have been embarrassing for a fleapit BnB let alone a hotel of Hotel Du Vin's standing. After an exceptionally bad nights sleep we dragged ourselves down to reception to check out. I told the front desk (who were lovely) about the bed and suggested they did not rent that room out again until they had fixed it. They expressed their apologies and said they would get a manager to call me later in the day. Since then I have had a very brusk message on Expedia to say they will fix it before my next stay (poor guests in between!). Overall a very disappointing stay and post stay customer service at what is normally a very high quality hotel group.

The hotel was amazing, the room was extremely clean, tidy and very comfortable with everything we needed. Very close to the seafront so we went for a late walk along the beach. Breakfast wasn’t included but we paid the extra and it was great. We will definitely go back again

Thoroughly enjoyed our first stay at the du vin. Friendly check in and we took advantage of the eco guest option which gave us a 7.50 credit esch for foregoing room cleaning and towrl change 2 nights stay dont need that. Staff in every part of the hotel were friendly and service was excellent. Loved our room bed coffee machine l occitane toiletries the bathroom was huge and the roll top bath was special air con lights in the wardrobe mini fridge all lithle extras i wasnt expecting breakfast was delicious both mornings lots of choice freshly cooked. All in all a great stay and we will be back thanks all at the Du Vin

Excellent hotel, shame about the absence of parking (or discounted parking)

Lovely hotel and well situated for everything Brighton has to offer. The room was wonderful and catered for every need. I didn’t eat at the hotel but the bar was very welcoming and the staff friendly. I was meeting family the day after I arrived so was on my own for my first night but didn’t want to spend my evening in Brighton alone in my room, lovely as it was. I am happy to say I felt very comfortable as a lone female in a cosy corner of the bar with a big glass of wine and my book and the complimentary nibbles made me feel truly spoilt. A wonderful stay.

We had such a wonderful stay as a family of three. Our room was on the 1st floor and had everything we needed. The only things I could pick holes in was the room was dusty, skirting boards and low areas need a good wipe down and there is not a lift in the hotel, luckily for us we were 1st floor so had to carry the buggy not too far but any higher would of been a struggle. We only had 1 issue which was when we booked the property it said children were free, however my 2 year old is tall so I requested a bed for him and then was told it would be £30pn charge only the day before, so we took our own blow up as I found this unfair. Breakfast was 10/10 great selection and delicious foods. We stayed for 2 nights and opted out for housekeeping and was giving a token for a “drink on us” which was a lovely touch! I would like to say, the staff are a credit to the hotel. Really kind, friendly and nothing too much trouble, the wonderful lady at breakfast went above and beyond and looked after us a treat. We loved Brighton and would highly recommend this place! & we will be back!

Lovely room, at the top of the hotel... I'm sure many people noted there's no lift. Staff were lovely and 24hr manned bar is a nice plus.

The staff were so informative and made us feel so welcome! We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay thank you!
