The accommodation was comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and the food was excellent.

The hot water took a few minutes to get warm, but once it did there was plenty of hot water.

Staff were lovely.

I did not think the room was worth £200 per night. Also, the cooked breakfast lacked beans, and that made it very dry.

"A gem, located well into the valley, excellent food and staff so friendly. A treasure."

Breakfast was superb and very well cooked. Plenty of choice to start with and the cooked breakfast follwed shortly afterwards. Evening meals were perfect.

Iniyially the car park was full but soon found ouit that many places available to park outside with vertually no traffic through the small village.

"A night away! "

Food was wonderful. Room was very clean, with a lovely tray of tea, coffee and biscuits. They have an information pack in the room that gives all relevant information. They have information available for walks in the local area. It is in the middle of nowhere, so use the restaurant if here for a night.

"This beautiful inn is an ideal place to get away from it all."

Friendly and attentive staff. Clean and tidy property that is obviously popular. Food was outstanding with great waiter service. Hot Tub was lovely with a beautiful view. Breakfast was delicious!

Bed was huge (great!) but creaked everytime one of us turned. A very minor issue that didn’t affect what we felt about this lovely inn.

"Perfect place for a short break if you like good food and fresh air."

Perfect location for exploring the hills by bike or on foot. Good bar with draught beer for the thirsty traveller and exceptional pies! Surrounded by old footpaths and drovers ways for exploring and steeped in history.
