The Haven House is a little Gem. Very clean, very comfortable and very homely. The proprietors Alistair & Mel are second to none. The perfect hosts, true gentleman. They couldn’t do enough for you. Nothing was too much trouble. I/ we would highly recommend this place and we wouldn’t stop anywhere else. A big heartfelt thank you to both of you. Steve Sanderson

"Superb"

Good-sized reasonably priced room in small guest house near town centre. Clean, comfy, good wifi. Good breakfast included. Very friendly and helpful owners.

"Excellent"

Nice area and very friendly staff. Our room was nice and tidy and had a tv however the toilet had a lingering smell of urine and the shower was really small.

"A perfect one night stay"

Everything was perfect. Great location and free on street parking. Breakfast was superb. Al and Mel were brilliant hosts. Highly recommended!

"A wonderful place with wonderful people"

I had such a wonderful experience here. Alistair and Mel were both extremely welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were very clean, had space for all my necessities and clothing. The breakfast here was lovely with a selection of cereal and cooked breakfast. Alistair and Mel show a genuine interest in their guests and are happy to provide advice and insight into what to do whilst staying in the area. They have a way of making their guests feel at ease and I’m not surprised to have heard from individuals staying there that they have visited the property more than once and in some cases several times.

"Lovely little room to stay with friendly host"

Really lovely clean room and great hospitality throughout, great choice of selection for breakfasts and condiments in your room. Would definitely come back and stay again. Only problem we had was as we found the pillows to thin, this is just a minor preference.

I liked pretty much everything about the property. The cleanliness, the location and the two owners were fantastic

The only thing I didn’t like was that the landing light seemed to stay on all night upstairs but apart from that very minor thing everything was exceptional
