Best Western Plus Luna del Mar

At first I was not happy at all because the room I had paid for was not given to us. However, after talking to the receptionist they change our room the second day. Other than that everyone was really nice and helpful.

The staff was friendly, food in restaurant was good, near by food and groceries. The room they gave me didnt have any cabinets or drawers to put our clothes in since i was traveling with my wife and kids, other than that everything was great. The ocean was good to swim on most of the time. Clean pools.

After having paid for a suite, I was given a regular room 2 beds, the staff have movilize 3 times. It was only until then that they gave me the closes to a suite but still not the one I booked for( CAREFULL, the pictures for the rooms are not accurate, on regards of type of rooms). I have to say it was really clean relaxing after that.

Great hotel! I was really happy with my room and the location. I noticed that most rooms had a slightly different set up. I had the nicest room that the hotel offered as did my parents but the décor was different in both and had a different flow. If you want a really nice room for a honeymoon or anniversary request room 815. Room 810 is also the same but has a large wall as soon as you walk in which I feel makes the room look smaller but its extra closet space if you need that. There is a gym on site but it is NOT worth going to as it is underground, stuffy, smells and lacks good equipment. 3 pools on site;1 large main pool, other two are meant for kids as they are shallow. 1 restaurant on site, decent food with a great view of the ocean NO ELEVATORS; lots of stairs Area to the side of hotel for a wedding reception

For this property you better speak Spanish. The hotel location is right next to the beach, so the wave sound at night might keep you up. The restaurant food is not really good, there is no Air Condition, so is uncomfortable if you are not accustom the hot weather. The employees are great, they do the best with what they have.

It was an ocean front property. You could hear the ocean waves. The restaurant on the property serve delicious, authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price. The room we checked in appears to be newly renovated. The only thing lacking was the gym. It needed additional free weights & some of the equipment wasn’t working. If new gym equipment is added, this would be a 5 star resort.

The staff were helpful and friendly but lack a bit of knowledge. We needed a meeting room for a couple of hours, on short notice, and got the business center for free, but we could not get a quote for a larger room that would be more appropriate. Had been here a couple of years ago and I can tell that it is crumbling. Access is somehow difficult and not handicapped friendly to say the list. Great area of town, quiet, but with few food options. Great beach area, but thia was a business trip.

Great location, right in the beach. For the most part it was very quiet. You can hear the ocean waves all day and night, very calming. Check in was a breeze, even for a late night arrival. Wouldn't recommend if you need wheelchair access as it would be difficult. My room with on the 4th floor and it was lots of stairs. I would definitely stay here again.

There are no rooms that someone in a wheel chair can independently reach. The one ramp are there is so steep wheelchair users cannot maneuver it alone (This is a common problem in Mexico.). The bathroom was tiny making it impossible to enter the shower if you cannot walk. The pool was dirty and closed at 7pm. Doors stuck closed, lock failed to work multiple times. Whole TINY parking lot was paved in rocks making it impossible to push a wheelchair. Multiple cockroaches and there is a sign in the bathroom that the water is not safe for drinking so we washed our teeth with bottled water. Only good thing is it is right on the water.

I have now stayed here four times, each time in a different room style and in all three towers. I have enjoyed them all. This time I was in the first-built “traditional” tower, and I was pleased to find that the room had been totally renovated. It was very nice. Clean, quiet, well air conditioned and fresh attractive materials and surfaces choices. Well done, Nest Western!
