Very good hotel but roads getting there like farm tracks

We had a lovely stay at the New Inn, once we found it through the single track roads! Very welcoming, clean and tidy with excellent breakfasts and evening meals. Will definitely stay again.

Loved staying here. At first thought a little bit out of the way, but not so, just a few minutes drive into the country. Rooms were great, the beds comfy, bathroom spacious, the breakfasts were perfect. Couldn’t of been any better

Quiet location in an idyllic little village. Friendly hosts, nothing too much trouble. When we arrived we found we had a flat tyre which we were unable to get replaced until the following day. The landlord insisted we took his car so as not to lose a day of our holiday! How amazing is that! Locals were also very friendly. We initially booked 4 nights bed and breakfast but stayed another night as it was so good. We also had our evening meal most nights in the pub also as the food was lovely. It is a traditional old pub which is very welcoming, open lunchtime and evenings. The rooms are in a separate block around the back of the pub and are clean and spacious. We didn't experience any noise from the pub at all during our stay. TV, Hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities provided including biscuits and bottles of still and sparkling water, all replenished daily if required. Rooms serviced daily. The New Inn is actually in Dowlish Wake which is a five minute drive from Ilminster, and is situated just down the road from Perrys Cider Farm, which is well worth a visit. It is well placed for visiting Somerset and Devon with lots to see and do on your doorstep. A delightful place to stay and we would highly recommend it for the price!

The staff were really friendly and helpful. But unfortunately the bed was uncomfortable, probably worn and old. There was a bright green light on the ceiling, a dated exit light that lit up the whole room at night which prevented sleep. We were exhausted by the morning. The breakfast and food in the restaurant was excellent.

Really nice place , so nice service and the staff is amazing. Love the country style. We had a nice weekend. Thank you so much to the lady from bar , reception whatever she was everywhere:) . Very kind and friendly.

Lovely pub B&B in a purpose build set of rooms at the back. It is located in a beautiful somerset village walking distance to a cider producer. We got a very warm welcome and ate excellent food/beer in the pub in the evening and breakfast the next day was also excellent and more than you could want. Room was well equipped and had tea/coffee making and a comfy bed.

The bathroom needed re- decorating, bath panel very poor. Plenty of milk provided for hot drinks, biscuits and bottled water added bonus. Plenty of towels provided.
