Having to use the fire escape to leave the building

Location was perfect might be worth highlighting to guests that the car park is to the rear of the property through a narrow entrance easily missed we did.

Would have been nice to have wifi during our stay. Bit confused on this one there appears to be routers located around the property but when asked the staff said wifi was not available

Room was comfy and big enough, bed was so comfortable, visited for work so was concerned if could hear bar noise but none. Upstairs access through fire escape with fob so secure. Clean and great shower. Everything I needed. Warm enough. Car park a challenge but I managed with my car, but not everyone would !

Traffic noise started at 5 am, I was there for work so it didn't matter too much, up at 6, but could go with double glazing. No view.

Comfy bed/pillows and clean.

The location was great, parking was free,.

Water pressure was poor, we were top floor. Trying to get in to check in was hard. There was a skylight window we couldn’t open as there was no stock/pole to open it.

I stayed at The Plough for three nights while working in the area and had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The staff were exceptionally helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble and they made me feel genuinely welcome throughout. A special mention goes to Conner and the rest of the team, who were particularly friendly and accommodating during my visit. The room was clean, well-maintained and kept to a high standard throughout my stay. I also appreciated the generous supply of tea, coffee, and biscuits provided. I dined in the bar restaurant and really enjoyed the food, especially the fish and chips which were excellent. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and would happily return in the future.
