Payment Information: Please note that the Charterhouse does not accept American Express or Diners Club cards. The swimming pool is open from 31 May - 31 August weather permitting. Check-In Information: The Charterhouse does not have 24-hour reception facilities, so please provide an estimated time of arrival when booking. Check-in is usually before 18:00. No arrivals after 22:00 are accepted. Please note that the hotel does not accept cats. Pets can only be accommodated in the Small Double Room with Patio and Large Family Room (2 adults + 2 children) with Garden View, and cannot enter the main house. Please inform the property prior to arrival if your are traveling with a pet. Please note that guests who book 'room with breakfast' rates can choose from a variety of breakfast options including Continental, Full English and Vegetarian.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian. A deposit may be required at the property.

Pretty close to city center, the water and restaurants. Room cheerfully furnished...attention to detail lovely. Breakfast was amazing. Our first morning we left before breakfast and we were able to eat some treats when we got back late afternoon. Overall I'd stay again. Oh. Also appreciated parking at the property...a bonus for sure. Real coffee at breakfast and fridge...used it for insulin .

My husband didnt like the shower . I didnt mind .

Surrounded by lovely trees & plants, it was in a fairly quiet location. It was only 2 minutes walk to the seafront. Plenty of parking, clean, tasty breakfast & friendly owners.

There is nothing we didn’t like.

Lovely old house in perfect position for us. Lovely garden and easy to walk into Torquay or to Cockington village. Hosts Lisa and Christof were lovely, everything catered for and very friendly. Home from home.
