We expected to be able to dive when booking this resort. The dive shop the resort uses has only one boat that they put into service because it was low season. We ended up having to take a 40 minute van to the other side of the island to dive on a massive dive boat with multiple other dive companies. They took us to the same dive site both days we dove (Sail Rock) and there were way too many divers on the dive site.

My wife and I travelled for 4 weeks to Thailand. We stayed in a number of different hotels throughout our trip. I would rate this hotel as one of the nicest we have stayed in. Service was excellent. The facilities were excellent with lovely bar/restaurant and a choice of other restaurant to eat also. Beach was very accessible and we also availed of excellent bistro service on the beach. The grounds in this hotel are exceptionally kept with beautiful gardens and very private suite accommodation. Location was also excellent in a quite small town with great selection of bars and good restaurants. Would not hesitate to return to this hotel.

Anantara Rasananda stands out as the most luxurious resort in Koh Phangan. We stay at the beach front pool suite and it was most stunning. The service is immaculate. The breakfast quality is so far above average than other anantara properties. I would like to thank Khun Poom, Khun Kae, Khun Sao, Khun Tua and Khun Doh who made this journey so memorable. We would definitely come back to this resort.

Absolute heaven on earth from start to finish. First class location and the attention to detail is second to none. Our host, Nonnie, was just lovely… as was every other staff member we encountered. The Anantara is now definitely our first choice on Koh Phangan. We’ll be back in 2027 ❤️

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Anantara Rasananda Koh Phangan Villas from May 4th until May 9th. From the very first moment, everything was perfectly arranged. Upon arrival at Koh Samui Airport, we were welcomed with a comfortable transfer van including cold water, after which we were brought to the pier where we enjoyed a refreshing drink while our luggage was taken care of and loaded onto the speedboat. Once arriving at the resort, we received the warmest welcome from our villa host Sanh, who truly made our stay extra special from beginning to end. We were greeted with delicious welcome drinks that had already been prepared and arranged during our transfer from Koh Samui. Throughout our stay, Sanh and the entire team spoiled us completely. The villa was serviced twice daily — a morning cleaning service and an evening turndown service — both done with incredible care and attention to detail. As my husband and I were celebrating our 10-year anniversary together, the team beautifully decorated our room in a romantic setting, which was such a thoughtful and memorable surprise. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choices, and the lunch menu offered something for everyone. For dinner, there are two restaurants at the resort and we had an amazing dining experience at the Japanese restaurant. The resort itself is stunningly designed and beautifully maintained. The pool area is fantastic for families with children, and the beach is lovely and relaxing. Although the sun disappears from the beach later in the afternoon, we actually found this very pleasant and comfortable. Another big plus is the location: within walking distance you’ll find a charming little village with a 7-Eleven, restaurants, massage salons, nail studios, laundry services and several cute local shops. You can also easily rent a scooter nearby to explore the island at your own pace. Anyhow, we truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and will definitely come back again! We stayed for 3 nights and wish it could have been 3 weeks! Unfortunately I was under the weather for most of our trip, but Nonnie and the entire team really looked out for me and went above and beyond to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. Little gestures like bringing fresh ginger slices and other bits and pieces for tea and simply being present and available truly elevated our experience.

This is a beautiful place to stay. Right on the beach and the hotel have done so well to create a 'tropical' planting environment, you really feeling you are walking through the rainforest to get to your room. Rooms are a great size and the plunge pool was an added bonus. Service was excellent, with breakfast having everything on offer.

There could be more sunbeds available to guests who dont have beach front accommodation.
