The Forest Country House B&B

The location is absolutely fascinating, with sprawling well-maintained rear gardens. The building, although showing its age, is comfortable and adds to the rustic nature of the location. Paul is a fantastic host and made us feel welcome and comfortable, as well as offering a good chat over breakfast. The nearby town provides any necessary amenities, while far enough for traffic to not interfere with the secluded feel. The evening sky was truly magical, and it's a shame we didn't had a chance to try out the sizeable telescope!

Some of the displayed information at arrival are slightly out of date, which is just a small oversight, but also caused some confusion during check-in. E.g. breakfast times and calling bell which wasn't working. Also, we wanted to use the communal fridge for our perishables, but we couldn't get hold of the host in the evening. Again, these are only small issues that are easy to fix, and would have been addressed if our stay was longer than one night.

Beautiful location and lovely country house.

Lovely Victoria era country house with lovely old features. Lovely clean and well appointed on-suite room. Owner communications excellent, also gave a warm welcome despite him being busy with some renevations to the main entrance hallway. Had an excellent full cooked breakfast next morning...with the Paul being very help to do it earlier at 7.30 as I needed to leave at around 8 to go to Clywedog reservoir for trout fishing trip. Is a reasonable but not too long walk in to Kerry but if you are on your way back in dark then take a torch. I had an excellent restful overnight stay.

Location was great, very quiet with lovely views. Very nice fresh cooked breakfast

Door way to bathroom is low, I am 6,3 and managed to catch my head when not paying attention. TV signal is poor, although not there tp watch tv, it would be nice to catch some news when getting ready in the morning. Local village pubs dont serve food, so had to ride into town for dinner. Obviously not the b & bs fault, just letting people know.

Breakfast was excellent served by the host, Paul. He made me very welcome, advised local amenities etc. The room was warm and comfortable, considering how cold it was outside!

Perfectly satisfied with everything.
