The Warwick Southport

Breakfast was excellent.

Nothing.

The property has a very comfortable and welcoming lounge. Breakfast was well organised and very tasty. Even the rooms that are not ensuite have exclusive use of their own bath or shower room.

Delay on arrival but John and Sue were most apologetic about their misunderstanding of when we were arriving

Shower was fine but the curtains were not long enough and consequently water went onto the bathroom floor. Paid for upgrade to ensuite bathroom. Inside room was a double bed + one single, alas the single had a sign on that if we used it THERE WOULD BE A SURCHARGE and so the SURCHARGE saga continued in the 'Welcome' folder - for everything there would be a SURCHARGE!!!!

John and Sue were exceptional hosts, especially as we had arrived later than expected. We were treated to drinks on arrival, just what we needed following a long journey. Our room was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast had been cooked to perfection! Our hosts were very caring and attentive, making sure we were topped up with tea, coffee and toast. Free parking was a big bonus, especially as the property is both close to the beach and the middle of town.

Both issues were concerning electrics. Firstly the shower temperature was inconsistent, varying from scalding hot to freezing cold. Secondly, 2 of the the 4 electric sockets on the wall were not working properly and the use of an extension lead for a CPAP machine tripped the circuit. John was very helpful, and it turned out that we did not actually need the extension lead after all. We were able to watch TV, make drinks, charge our phones and use the CPAP so electric supply was adequate. I would advise calling in an electrician to take a look though.

Breakfast was very good John and Sue very friendly felt like we'd known them for years would recommend Warwick to anyone visiting Southport
