Elms of Camden

Our stay at Elms of Camden was perfect! It was everything we were hoping for. The Inn is charming, quiet, and quaint. The Inn Keepers, James and Gary, were welcoming, helpful and kind. We instantly felt like old friends. The location of the Inn is walking distance to restaurants, shops, and the harbor. Gary’s meticulously crafted breakfast menu was accentuated with James’ attentive hospitality. We highly recommend the Elms of Camden for anyone looking to experience Maine the way life should be.

the room was at the very top of the house - so sloping ceilings. A bit of a tight squeeze if you are big and/or tall so ask for different room.

We stayed for 5 nights and had a wonderful experience! Gary and James were very helpful and had tons of information about the area. Our room was very clean and I love that it was built in the 1800’s. We never had a day where we weren’t busy. We really enjoyed the breakfast and we walked to town almost everyday. The weather was perfect. We would definitely stay again.

Delightful stay at The Elms! So glad the weather cooperated and we could enjoy our 2 course breakfast out on the patio. Walked into town both nights for dinner to places recommended by our hosts. Room was comfortable and well appointed. Would definitely book here next time we are in Camden!

Everything about our stay at the Elms was PERFECT! Gary and James were absolutely fantastic hosts; attentive, warm, friendly. Location in Camden is perfect, so close to downtown but not in the middle of traffic or crowds. The room was charming, impeccably clean, the bed and pillows so comfortable! Breakfast was served in a garden patio that was so pretty! Charming tables for two with the prettiest place settings surrounded by flowers. Breakfast was delicious; yogurt and fruit, a crustless quiche made by Gary himself! Both Gary and James came to our table to make sure everything was fine. They were delightful. I could not recommend this place more! We will definitely stay here in the future!

The only thing was that the window AC in the room was not very strong. It didnt matter much for us because the weather wasnt very hot but on a hot night it might have been an issue. Otherwise everything was perfect.

We felt very welcome and cared for. We had a lovely room, nicely furnished and comfortable. Delightful breakfast on the patio. Gary and James are wonderful hosts. Loved our 3 night stay!
