The Old Well Inn

It is an old building with loads of History, and character, I love the furniture in the rooms, and the staff are fantastic, the bar also has a good range of real ales, and the food is lovely. and it has a beer garden that backs up against the castle wall.Dog friendly too.

You have to choose your breakfast times, but it really wasn't a problem.

The bedroom was gorgeous! Very spacious, and like stepping into a slice of history or a boutique hotel. It was well decorated with a lot of original features such as panelling, an original fitted cupboard, shutters and sliding windows that have not been painted shut (unlike so many others that have) so you can open them. The bed was a massive King-sized bed and was so comfortable, and there was plenty of storage and a full-length mirror. The bathroom was spacious and in keeping with the period of the room's decor. The hot tap was constantly on and couldn't be turned off, and the toilet bowl was a bit tired, but I didn't mind. The staff were great, and it was very easy to come and go as you please. Free parking on Rd.

Breakfast was set for 8 am or 8.30 am. More flexibility would have been better. The quality of breakfast I would give 8 out of 10. On Sunday the bar had closed so we never got to sample the bar area, but it is a sleepy village feel. I didn't use Wifi but the passcode would have been useful in the bedroom.

Stains in bedspread and carpets. Whole place needs a good clean. Dirty, Sticky floors and very dirty paintwork. Nice beer garden as in flowers but garden furniture falling to bits and covered in bird poo

Excellent position. Lovely staff. Wonderful breakfast. Lovely clean room and comfortable bed.

The pub and the rooms are VERY tired. Breakfast took about 40 minutes to arrive after ordering both mornings.

Very friendly clean and easy going.Food is good too.
