Location excellent for our needs. Food was good quality, plentiful and hot. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere

Unfortunately no shower in the room. Rooms appear a little tired and in need of redecoration. Our evening meal was late being served as the barman forgot to put the order through but once he realised it was quickly sorted and delivered.

Great find for an overnight stay on our way to Scotland. Lovely staff, massive room with very comfy bed and good food. Nice little town and some good walks locally.

There is no car park but we parked right out front on the road so not an issue. It is all quite dated and old school but we quite like that. If you’re looking for a bougie pub stay it’s probably not for you!

Quirky but great with it. Loved the character. Quiet, clean and very comfortable. Great bar and fantastic breakfast the next day. Would definitely stay again if passing.
