Neighbourhood was a bit rough, but that't the area in general- hotel fine.
GBWe didn't get to see the room, when we got there no one was in the hotel. Eventually someone turned up after ringing the number for the hotel. Only to be told that the room had been cancelled. At first they said they didn't have a booking under our name, then said they tried to ring to say they were not able to open due to some difficulties. I only had one call and when I answered it there was no one there. Not even a message was left

We arrived for the 3pm check in and couldnt get into the property, tried for over an hour, no answer at door, or phone or WhatsApp so had to leave and find another place to stay, when they did contact us 3 hours later we had already found an alternative.
GBCouldn't get in and neither could another set of guests who were waiting. Waited a long time and then the cleaner, who couldn't speak English opened up, but he didn't have a room for us. Apparently it works via a key in a box system, but we didn't get this message until three hours after we arrived, despite this not being mentioned in the profile and arriving in the advised checking in period. This isn't an hotel!
GBSam and the staff were very friendly and communicated well, if we needed anything they sorted it quickly. Its only a brief walk to the promenade.
