"Beautiful old hotel."

Staff were great, food was excellent. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

"Little Gem,"

We arrived to a friendly atmosphere, especially the father who is very lovely man and as fit as a fiddle considering his age of 79. The room was clean and the towels was not that hard you know the ones um talking about, that take a layer of skin off when one dry one self. The breakfast was lovely and hot with a friendly service. The location was quiet and good scenery when locating the place. We went to the High Force Falls which was easy to find and not far away was great. We will be returning at some stage in the future.

"Great food and staff"

Lovely country pub feel. Room was spacious for a family of 4. Food was amazing on the evening and breakfast and couldn't fault how friendly the manager and staff were. Downside was we were above the kitchen and could here the music till late at night then chef came in at 6.45am and music went back on. Shower leaked and toilet was blocked

"handy B & B pub for A66"

General decor of public area a bit faded especially carpets. Room comfortable with large private patio. Staff very friendly and some of the best hotel scrambled egg we have ever tasted. Arrived late so did not eat in the evening.
