La Meridiana

I have read some bad reviews on this hotel and after staying there for 2 weeks Sept 24 cannot understand why. Okay hotel is 3 star, location and service are 6. Breakfast is more than sufficient, evening meal is varied but even as a fussy eater always found something. You are given the evening meal menu at Breakfast on a couple of occasions when we didn,t fancy what was on offer we told the waiter we would be eating out so did not place an order. The views, rooftop terrace and nearness to sorrento are 6 star. Have booked. again for 2025.

This hotel is excellent. Staff were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is around a 10 minute walk to the centre of Sorrento and add another few minutes to the port. The hotel is in a lovely area. The roof terrace is fabulous and sunbeds, tables, chairs etc in pristine condition. Views are stunning. Rooms were spotless. Loads of great bars and restaurants very close by. Great selection at breakfast and we found the dinners very good. Highly recommend.

Nice view. Room was nice. Bed was comfortable. The shower was tiny. Breakfast was good. Property allows pets but are not pet friendly. I was told that I cannot leave my pet in the room or allow her to sit next to me for breakfast. My dog is small, well behaved and sits in her crate. This meant my husband and I breakfasted separately and were unable to utilize the restaurant for dinner or drinks together. Disappointed.

This hotel met and exceeded all expectations! It's a 5-minute walk from the main square, very easy to access and felt safe at all times. The room itself was small, but the bathroom was roomy and the deck facing the sea was spectacular! We spent little time actually in the room so that was fine. Front desk staff was super helpful. We had the breakfast each day and it was functional. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at La Meridiana. It is just close enough and just far enough for us from the Piazza. We were walking distance to the beach clubs, and Marina Piccolo. The room was a good size. Enough for the two people and had hanging space in the closet. We were on the 4th floor corner unit and had the most beautiful views of the Mediterranean and Mt. Vesuvius. We opted to upgrade to a balcony room for 30 euro a night and it was well worth it. After Sept 15th there is no A/C and the street was too loud to leave the windows open so it got a little stuffy at night, but that wasn't a huge problem as the hotel room kept just cool enough to sleep with the flat sheet. We had daily towel changes which was nice and the bathroom had a huge window. The lobby staff was very friendly, and allowed us to check in early which we appreciated. The rooftop is also nice. Breakfast was not good - I would opt to not have it the next time I stay here. The coffee was burnt, and the food was not really enjoyable. I'd rather use that stomach space on a meal elsewhere. Overall fantastic hotel and would stay here again.

This is a great place to stay. 5 min walk to train, within 5 mins you are in the main town square, with lot of food options! Shopping options ! The property has a roof top patio, perfect for viewing the Napoli Bay!

Just returned from a week’s stay at this hotel. Really clean hotel, basic rooms but we had a room on 5th floor which had a fantastic view. I would return to this hotel but not for the food. The food was awful. We paid half board but only ate there twice as the food was only lukewarm on Both occasions. I had a cheese omelette as I thought you can’t get that wrong. But this hotel did. It was probably cooked hours before and warmed up, but still wasn’t served warm. The breakfast was ok, cakes were nice but the hot food wasn’t good. Instead of baked beans they serve green runner beans which was on the previous nights menu. Such a same as the hotel is in such a great location. Only about 10 minutes walk to train, ferries, and most restaurants. If your planning on just needing a good base that’s clean and near all that Sorrento has to offer than don’t hesitate to book this hotel. Also the hotels terrace has fantastic views with lovely chairs and sun beds.

Very nice hotel right beside a lemon orchard where you can take cooking lessons. The staff were super friendly, the breakfast bar had a good assortment of food and the location was a 5 minute walk to the main square. Would definitely recommend staying here and looking forward to returning one day.

We had a room on the 3rd floor beautiful views ,a short walk and you can find lots of bars and shops .If you have a bad chest be careful the fumes from the traffic are awful .Also the breakfast is about the best food in the hotel as the dinner food is lukewarm served on cold plates .One morning for breakfast instead of baked beans with the scrambled egg which is powdered egg there were green beans which we were given the night before for dinner ,apart from that the hotel is lovely and the roof terrace is great with brilliant views and we made some lovely friends

Good, clean hotel in excellent location 10 min walk from station and sorennto town. Ferry port also walkable. We had a very quiet room on 2nd floor. Friendly staff. Breakfast was good and sufficient ( I didn't have the hot food) but enjoyed what I chose. Have to book a time slot for breakfast but easily changed when needed to get out early for trips.Didnt book evening meal or use bar so unable to comment on . Roof area good for sunbathing and relaxing. Great , convenient hotel for using as a base when in Sorennto.
