Casa Grande Bambito Resort

Really nice hotel, good staff, facilities, food and sightseeing. really cozy and relaxing environment of the hotel and room. will return soon.

Last weekend we decided to make a family trip to the Casa Grande Bambito and have lunch there. We called the reception in the morning to confirm if the restaurant had a pet friendly area since we like to take with us our little Jack Russel Terrier Masha. The lady was very kind and said we could take Masha with us and have lunch at an open space at the restaurant. We traveled one hour from David to Bambito with our 4 old year son and Masha as soon as we get to the restaurant our bad experience begins... When we sit at the place in which we were told, the server comes in and tells us in a rude manner dogs are not allowed inside the restaurant, we explained him the whole story that we called in first and the receptionist had told us we could be there with our dog, again with a very bad attitude he said we had to leave the area that it was already reserved. Without receiving any appologies or alternative solution we were pratically kick out from the place... It was already 1pm and our 4 year old son was starving, so we decided to go to Volcan and seek for a restaurant, we ended up at the Mana Restaurant, as soon as we get there we were treated like family the staff received us with a big smile and prepared a special table for all of us, Including Our Dog Masha. Our great experience continues when we try their delicious burgers, let me tell you I have tried burgers at some of the best restaurants in Panama City and the US and these Mana burger can easily compete with any of them. I highly recommend the Mana restaurant for their great client service and their amazing burgers!!!!

The rooms was fine and the place is set up for a wedding venue. The restaurant was high for the quality and the breakfast included is only toast and jam.

We stayed here during kick tour of Volcan, Cerro Punta y Boquete. We stayed at a Royal Suite (R1 to be exact) for 1 night. We were 4 adults and 3 kids. Staff was friendly and accommodating. It was algo advantageous from that angle that place was not very busy. Room was clean. My only issue here was availability of warm water in showers. The water was not warm at all though nor was it cold either. Temperature made shower not pleasant. They advertised the pools yet they were empty during our stay. Nobody said that during our reservation and our Kids were interested on hanging by pool. The playground next to the river was just ok as it is old and needs updating/repair. Restaurant was not very good. Food was just ok but there were lots of flies/insects inside building, making eating not enjoyable. In general, this is a good place for price and would return in future.

First of all the service was excellent and everyone tried to help you anyway they could. The room was clean and comfortable with both a bathtub and shower. Wifi was weak in the room, but worked well outside and in the restaurant. We had two breakfasts and one dinner and felt the quality was below average. We did mention this to the front desk when leaving. A great place to cool down from the beach.

The hotel is located in a beautiful site, between a river an a mountain, in the middle of nature, but close to main road. The place is beautiful and there are many activities inside, I did canopy (just 1 line) but there is horse ridding, tubbing in the river and feeding geese. The temperature is an oasis of coolness inside a very very hot country. People in Highlands and in the hotel are super polite, they are very friendly and willing to make you a great day always. I will go back for sure!!!

I gave the hotel several 3s. And in other circumstances, I might have given all 3s, but it's Volcan and you shouldn't (and I didn't) expect the Ritz Carlton. It got several 3s because (a) there were a lot of bugs and ants in the room (b) there was a power outage during a rainstorm and the staff/hotel was strangely unprepared for what I would think is a regular event in the rainy season, and (c) staff made no attempt to compensate for (b), e.g. comp a drink at the bar. If you go to Volcan, this is a beautiful spot to lay your head. And, you need to know Espanol!!!!!!

We went 3 family's with baby's and toddlers. The rooms are clean and very confortable. Each room with the tv area, small refrigerator. The hotel breakfast was very good. Almost all you need. The place is beautiful. Service was good. The staff was very kind.

Our room was large and well appointed, the bathroom had a seperate shower and bath, plenty of space. Plenty of hot water with a good flow in the shower. good free wifi. Restaurant service is slow but typical for central America, the food was good with choices at dinner including salads and fresh vegetables. Breakfast is freshly cooked with choice of cereals, fruit, eggs, bacon and beautiful Panamanian fried bread!

Very comfortable facilities, nice location next to the river, very good food.... I am very happy with my experience.
