"Great hotel with a few hiccups"

This hotel gives you the wow factor when you arrive. It's probably one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at. The room was huge and I loved that the bath had the natural spring water. The beds are a little hard which I'm starting to think that that's the way the Japanese like them. There were a few things which I didn't like but they weren't big. Didn't like that there was a dress code for the fine dining so we couldn't go. (that's just me). we went to the other restaurant and I still felt under dressed but I will say the salmon was exceptional. The chicken was so so. My husband was a little taken aback when a woman worker walked into the onsen to clean while he was naked. I called and asked if this was normal (it's the first onsen this has happened at) and they laughed and said yes. Not sure what was so funny. The 711 is right down the street as is a hamburger restaurant right next door. You can ask for the hotel shuttle to take you to the train station. I would recommend. We also loved going to the museum in the hotel. Very well done.
