Great historic resort in the middle of the forest and mountains. Amazing exotic Japanese gardens on hotel grounds with beautiful waterfalls and koi ponds. Truely historic hotel with beautiful and luxurious architecture. Top notch staff and service. We also loved the private hot springs in our private bathtub in our room 👍

Location is gorgeous in the hakone mountains but limited food options around the hotel. Most restaurants close early, and there are no early breakfast options except in the hotel buffet, which is a little expensive !
