Candlewood Suites Springfield North, an IHG Hotel

I booked this room 6 days in advance and i waited 30 mins just to hear that i cant get the room i resevered becasue i am a local. They should tell people that. The lady at the front desk says i dodnt enter my address. That is false i have had expedia for years. I finally 2nated to get back to using it and this happens. I was hurt and discouraged, that was my daughters birthday party room. I have never experienced this and i am highly disappointed.

The room was directly across from the elevator, the sound proofing is so terrible I was wok up at 1am, 2am,4am5am, 5:30, 6am, 6:30,7am and so on, every time someone had a conversation while waiting for the elevator it was so clear I couldn’t hear there entire conversation I had a terrible nights sleep

Room was great, functional. On site food is always a plus (which you don’t have) but kitchen-equipped room off-sets that. Fitness room pretty good. Laundry facilities great. Room keys a disaster. At least 1-2 trips daily to get room keys reset. I carried two at all times because one was often dysfunctional.

My husband is in a wheelchair. Everything was perfect, the width of the doorways, the roll in shower, the size of the room. We were impressed also with the size of the kitchinette, the refrigerator and was surprised by the stove top, dishwasher, silverware and pots and pans. We literally had everything we needed and more. We could not have been more pleased

Nice hotel. Clean and the staff are great. Only negative thing was the old carpet.

Great all around

The hallways and our room smelled like wet carpet/dog. There were dog nose smears all over the window when we opened the shears. Family room area has NO lighting- not even lamp. Just small kitchen island lighting and the kitchen lights. (We were in a one bedroom suite). No lamp on the desk so it would be impossible to do any kind of work in the evening. The way that they have the light blocking curtains on the window prevent you from getting a lot of light in there even during the daytime. There is no air conditioning in the separate bedroom. Instead there’s a small little fan on the wall that sucks air from the family room into the bedroom. (You can see though the vent into the other room so not exclusive privacy between the bedroom and family room). Not very useful in cooling bedroom and it was only in the high 70s when we were there. Bedroom did have two nightstand lamps- one which didn’t work. We were in room 132 which was by the back door, so easy access to the parking and on the first floor.

The room smelled like someone had a dog in there for awhile. The duvet smelled terrible (like dirty dog). We were in for 2 nights, the staff new our length of stay, but didn’t clean the room. I mentioned it on our way out and were told that cleaning was ‘every 7 days’
