Crowne Plaza Beijing Sun Palace by IHG

Expected Crowne Plaza standard. Next to 2 malls and 2 subway stations nearby make it a convenient location. Bed is nice. A/C did not make much noise. WiFi is decent. Breakfast has good enough varieties.

The great thing about this hotel is that you can use Google and Facebook! Other hotels you can't!

There are many changes in breakfast and dinning staffs, the service attention was not there as before. The management got a little chaotic. Will try other hotels next time, although this is my 5th stay at this hotel

As always, a good and convenient hotel location to airport or CBD of Beijing. Clean and nice facility, good services

This is my 3 times coming back to this Hotel during the last two years. Apparently the Hotel is being looked after properly and the staff are friendly and helpful.

I had two stays at this hotel during my 9 days trip, with a 2 day gaps. The hotel is at a convenient location if you have business around East side or North side of Beijing, normally where multinational companies are located there. Also, it offers 3 free bus route for guests to those popular working spots to avoid the hassle of peak traffics in Beijing. The Hotel also host YunNan provincial office in Beijing, so the restaurants there reflects the unique local flavor of that province, which is very popular style cuisine. The staff services is generally pleasant, but uneven. Some staff need more training to greet guest and send off guest, which was evident during my stay that need management involve to correct issues (such put me into smoking room, etc.). The club lounge is so so with less services offering comparing other brands (such as Marriotts), but you do get very good benefits to stay at club level rooms. Overall, it is a nice hotel, convenient to business sites and airports, and good restaurants in hotel and near by. I would definitely recommend to friends to have a try there.

The hotel environment and staff were were top notch.

Yo can expect the hardware to be there, but the software needs upgrading. During breakfast, it takes them more than 10 mins to bring your coffee, although you can see waitresses walking around but not doing very much; the dinging area is only about 30% full, you wonder what are they up to.Check-in staff is a bit clueless about the room avilability status when I tried checking in early, luckily another staff realises that the room is actually available. Kudos to her! They need more staff who are proactive towards customers' needs, unfortunately in China the situation appears to be likewise elsewhere, despite the hotel carries a 5 star branding you can only expect 4 star service at the very best.

Hotel is clean, spacious, hotel staff are lovely - very friendly and able to speak English quite clearly. The room was great! the bathroom was humungous and very clean. It is a little further out from the city - however if you are willing to take a subway or taxi this is not at all a problem - the hotel staff will help you print out the address of your destination and will tell the taxi driver to ensure there is no miscommunication. There are restaurants nearby and a shopping mall - will definitely stay there again.
