Clifton Lodge Hotel

Location

No staff. No tea or coffee making facilities. No hot water in the sink.

Location was okay as there’s a bus stop for easy access. The staff I met on the day of check in was helpful.

The bed was too creaky and there’s no staff available to ask for anything incase you needed help.

Location and shower

On our booking confirmation it states that the room has a kettle and Air Con. No kettle in room so we asked for one and was told they they don't do kettles in the rooms anymore. I said it said there was a kettle on booking confirmation and was told the manager had tried to take it off but couldn't. There was only one bath towel in the room for 2 of us for 2 nights, we requested another one and it was brought to our room. All 4 pillows were so thin they were almost non-existent, we both had a really bad nights sleep and woke up with sore backs. In the morning we asked for another pillow each for the 2nd night which was delivered to our room. There definitely wasn't Air Con either.

Nice and simple

They mention brown door took me 15mins to find brown door.

The mattress needs replacing.
