No Staff, self check in, carpet in bathroom/ toilet. Dirty and dusty skirting. Bed smelt, paper thin walls, no kettle, TV didn’t work Grime in toilet Shower only Luke warm with hot water tap on only

This room was booked on behalf of my operative who wash working in the area and from the online advert looked perfect. However he has no idea what was to like about his stay as he couldn't get into the room. There was no one on site or answering phone calls, or direct messages through booking.com. The reception was awful with ceiling falling down, paint peeling from the walls and exposed electrics. The whole place also stank of cigarette smoke. In the end my operative was forced to leave as there was clearly no on in the building and to be honest he wasn't looking forward to seeing the state of his room, having seen the reception area/outside. Trying to get back the money we paid through booking.com but still waiting for response!
