Grand Hôtel de Courtoisville

We had a great stay at the hotel. The room was wonderful. The only negative point was the staff. Although they were friendly, they were very busy and had to wait to see someone. We gave up on having a meal or even a drink at the hotel as nobody was there to take our order.

The staff at the hotel couldn't have been better. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful, however the overall condition of the hotel was disappointing. Our room was dark and the lighting provided inadequate. The car park is reached through a very narrow road with cars parked on one side, leaving JUST enough room for a car to pass.....or maybe not as three of them had scratches down the side! After the first night we parked outside the hotel. But most disappointing were the gardens, which just looked unloved. With just a little effort they could have been lovely, as indeed they are shown on the web site! The outside space could & should be the crowning glory of this hotel.

Lovely, clean, comfortable and dog friendly! A wonderful place to stay!

Impossible to manoeuvre in the car park. Diner tasty but presentation leaves a lot to be desired. Electric bed gave up after 1 night and I had to sleep sitting up

We stayed at the hotel for one night prior to a very early start to catch an early morning ferry. We therefore had little time to use the hotel's facilities but it was in an ideal location for our needs. The hotel has free parking but spaces are limited due to the small parking area at this town centre hotel. We were greeted by a friendly and helpful receptionist and overall found the hotel to be very good.

After just writing a too long review, hotels.com rules require me to keep this under 1500 characters. So I deleted my long and detailed description of this very Non Grand Hotel and am reducing this review to shorter text. In just a few words, I can easily say, DO NOT stay at this hotel. Other than super friendly and helpful evening desk clerks (one female, one male) this place had so many things wrong with it that my original write-up just did not fit here. From the bed, to the carpet to the bidet, you don't wanna stay here!

Great for a short break. Friendly staff. Great pool! Needed air conditioning, room got very hot over night

Limited parking with poor accessibility. Good hotel room and restaurant was surprisingly good. Served the purpose very well.

Arrived just before 4 pm - to be told room not ready - to go away and come back in 30 mins. (Confirmation suggested check in from 2 pm). Paid 130 gbp for superior room and given standard room All in all very disappointed - for the same money we could have had s sea view room on the front... Will not stay again and not recommend to a friend.

We really enjoyed our overnight stay and particularly need to mention the lovely girl who checked us in and then again was in the restaurant that night. We speak limited French and she spoke English very well. But more than that she was friendly and welcoming and the star if the stay.
