Ao Nang Timber House

Went 4D3N. Room is clean and spacious, good location close for Ao Nang Diving Spot, shampoo and body wash. Not encourage for couple. NO wifi @room. NO view for any room type. Information posted is bit misleading. The shower head is malfunction, need to maintain. Pool looks bit run down and small.

Great location, just at the end of the main shopping street and very short walk to the beach. Great pool area and very comfy beds.

Clean hotel, nice area. Close to beach and shopping. Air conditioning in room needs to be looked at, would have appreciated a second key. Had a kettle in the room but no coffee / tea making facilities. Had to inquire at reception for cups and coffee / tea. Breakfast was included, nice buffet but would have liked a variety every second day

Conveniently located for budget travellers. Easy to get street food, as well as low priced souvenirs

Our stay at timber house was very good. Front of house staff helpful. We had an evening flight so we were able to use luggage room and use hotel pool and good shower facilities after check out. The restaurant staff were lovely. Wide range of choices for breakfast. Room was large with good sized bathroom facility with good hot shower and clean. Air con ok. My bed was ok but friends found theirs quite hard and uncomfortablLe. Upgrading the bedding would be the only recommendation I would make. Fresh towels every day. Nice private patio outside the room both back and front. The jewel was the pool. This was one of the nicest resort pools I have swum in and always clean. Beautiful and exactly as shown in photos. Good position between two beautiful beaches. Night street food market just outside the hotel. Overall a really pleasant stay in a beautiful area of thailand.

No wifi inside the room. Router was spoilt but they don't seem to bother to fix it. Wifi is only at the pool area but they will close the lights at 7pm. The patio was a plus point but mosquitoes will feast on you. TV only has 4 Thai channels. Only the pool is nice about this place. Water temperature was good. Most of the staff cannot speak English, they speak Thai or Malay only. Luckily, some of us can speak Malay. They are very nice people though. Over-all, it is basically ran down and it could use a revamping. The land area was huge and rooms are big. This property is such a waste cos of poor maintenance.

this hotel is at the end of the main street where there is lots of shops and good restaurants all prices, but far enough away to be quiet. Cheap and cheerful, clean but could do with some care and atention. lovey beach to the right 5 minutes away.pleasant staff, nice pool, bar and retauant on site simple breakfast. Enjoyed the stay.

Room is big but the condition of the hotel as a whole is a bit run down. Still worth it if you got a good deal on the stay.

"Great location" I usually read as, looking positively on a bad hotel. This hotel was ok, certainly nothing amazing, the location is great, right in the heart of AoNang beach area, (not on beach). The rooms are outdated but clean and spacious. The staff are not rude but not very friendly, like other areas of Thailand. Breakfast was not too great but edible. The bar/eating area doubles as a public restaurant but not very nice one and closes quite early. The pool is nice and there is a spa area although I never saw anyone in or working in the area. There is Wifi but unless you pay extra you can only use it by the pool or bar, so lots of people sat around the pool fully clothed on phones, tablets etc. I would not stay here again, I think there is maybe much nicer places for my money. But great location!!
