Ao Nang Timber House

The stay at Timber House is pleasant. It is located near the road where you can get transport easily. Quiet location, yet easy to look for shops, pharmacy & restaurants within walking distance of 15-20 minutes. Hotel staff can speak English and helpful. Room is clean and spacious. Bed is very soft and comfortable.

Three of us stay there for 5 days. We are so happy with this hotel. I would stay here again. After long day from shore excrusion, we enjoyed the pool then walk to shopping and get Thai massage. Umm so good!

Timberhouse was nothing like that described on its website. The hotel looked run-down and in need of painting. Although the room itself was clean, we were plagued by an invasion of mosquitoes. This is likely to be due to the sliding door to the balcony not being able to be closed properly and the balcony was overlooking some vegetation and a drain... The bath room had a bath tub and a rain-shower; however, the drainage did not work properly for the rain-shower cubicle and there was no hot water available for the shower attached to the bath tub. The complimentary breakfast provided was displeasing as the food was not fresh and many food items were made from pre-packaged or convenience store ingredients; this gave us the impression that the hotel management was trying to cut corners. The only saving grace for Timberhouse was its staff, who were very polite and professional. The swimming pool was relatively clean and there was a lot of vegetation and plants which made its surroundings pleasant. Also, there is a place just outside the front of the hotel where you can rent 'tuk tuks' (the red ones) at very reasonable rates.

Enjoyed a nice, quiet stay here. The location is great between two nice beaches- a few minutes walk to either. Plus, easy to walk to everything but without the noise. The hotel is nice although the shower curtain could use some tlc. The pool is fantastic and was never crowded despite quite a lot of people staying. Wifi at the cafe but would very much like to see for free in the room. Would stay again.

I like the spacious and clean hotel room. Nothing better than that. However, during my stay they are running a renovation. I believe it will be much better thereafter.

Our room was clean, and the location of our room was good too! just beside the pool! the service was good, as the receptionist was helpful. They do provide free wifi, but only at the restaurant and pool area. the complimentary breakfast is nothing to shout about, and the location of the hotel in my opinion is good, around 7 minutes walk to the beach. overall a good stay!
