Birch Hotel

Dreadful hotel - if I could choose 0 stars I would. No compassion about a very sensitive situation. The management are a disgrace and should be ashamed. Absolutely appalling.

Friendly staff, good location, comfortable enough, got what we paid for.

Could do with freshening up,

I don't want to complain because I think this was reasonable value for money and certainly sufficient for an overnight stay. The location was good and the grounds are lovely and it was nice and quiet. The staff were amazing, friendly, helpful and happy, and a real credit. Food was very good and reasonably priced, not gourmet but still very nice. The hotel was clean and tidy but it is a little rundown. It could do with a refurb to make it exceptional, my bed was old and not great but bearable, showers and fixtures were not great and could do with improving. All that said, I would happily stay there again for an overnight visit at the same prices

Just a little run down and new beds or at least mattresses would be nice

Gentlemen on reception was lovely and very accommodating as were most of the other staff Food was nice, breakfast lovely and good portions

No air con Boiling hot Sockets did not work properly in bedrooms Kettle full of scale Room had black mold in the shower and bathroom area, room smelt of damp
