Mountain Park Hotel

We been booked for 3 days,we sleep over for one night it is was a night mare -2 chelsius outside the radiator in the room not working ,we were with a babyv1 year old and 2 young kids ,we sleep witva ciat and scurf ,then in the morning we ask for a full refund and we decided to book our stay in a different hotel .

What you want when you need a hotel for an overnight stay is warmth a decent TV and good beds and shower. Service is sort of secondary, however this hotel hit the mark everywhere. Well sized rooms a really good large TV and free room WiFi. It also didn't break the bank, hats off to them .. I would go back there in a heartbeat

We stayed in a family room. It was motel style as in you have a private entrance. This was great as we brought our dog. The room was clean, warm, comfortable and spacious. There was an iron, ironing board, hairdryer even a small fridge and a good sized TV. Everything we needed. The bar was lovely and reasonable, however I was unaware it closed when a function is on and I found this a little disappointing. The function is loud but did finish at exactly 12. Fully recommend and will stay again as it’s great for us visiting family.

Upon arrival there was noone manning the reception so had to wait around 10 minutes for someone to turn up. When the man eventually arrived to check us in, he was rude and didnt even say hello, we were asked to sign the terms and conditions without being given a copy of them. We were told there would be loud music playing until midnight which we wasnt aware of at the time of booking the hotel. When we finally got into the room it smelt unpleasant, the bed sheets had stains, there was no toilet seat on the toilet and the room had numerous spiders and cobwebs. Thermostat did not work, TV wire had electrical tape in multiple places like it had been repaired.

Staff were friendly and helpful Rooms need some updating due to damaged furniture and stained curtains Mould in the shower Bedroom door did not lock as screws were falling out to be fair dealt with quickly but should not have been offered as a room if not safe Breakfast was lovely and a fair price Beds comfortable
