Alpenheim Charming & Spa Hotel

We enjoyed a lovely week at the Alpenheim, the owners are really welcoming and all the staff are super friendly, caring and helpful. The food was incredible, a good choice every day and the afternoon buffet was very welcome. The shuttle bus to and from the lifts was very important to us and it worked well thanks to Robert's skilful driving! There are some lovely walks and the hotel reception has maps of hiking trails if you don't want to ski every day. The pool and spa are really lovely, very clean and it was peaceful when we were there. We would definitely return.

Our group of 6 had the most amazing time in Ortisei and it was a big part due to the staff at The Charming Alpenheim Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the owner was on site and welcomed us to the hotel. We changed into our ski gear and Robert dropped us off directly in front of the lifts. Although the bus stops directly in front of the hotel, having Robert was a pleasure as he made the transfer much quicker and pick ups were a breeze! We truly loved the wait staff at the hotel. Included in the price is breakfast and dinner daily. The food was excellent and the staff always had a big smile on their faces. My room was the family room and it could have easily fit 6 people. We only had 2 and we loved the views from the patio, the beds were comfortable but perhaps the best part was the spa after skiing! It was the perfect place to enjoy our ski vacation!

We have just had a fantastic 4 night stay at this hotel in Ortisei. The staff are amazing, the place is very well run. The rooms are great, the beds are comfortable, the food is excellent, the drinks are also delicious and nothing is too much trouble. There is a shuttle service to the ski lifts, the spa is wonderful and the massage is recommended. The outside jacuzzi is super special and the whole place has a great vibe. A superb family run hotel with a really delightful team of staff. Highly recommended for couples, and families.

Overall level of service closer to a 3-star hotel. Be prepared to have a feeling that you are there for the hotel management and staff and not vise a versa, when they are there for the client (how it should be). The only staff who were more or less client oriented were the waiters in the restaurant. This seems to be the only “pro” “Contras” or what will spoil your vacation: 1. The amount of light switched in the room is huge - no common logic of how they all work so you will need to take your card out to turn off the light. Otherwise you will be sleeping with a few lamps on 2. In case you want to/ have to go skiing later than 12 - NO driver is there to take you with your skis and boots to the mountain. You will have to carry it all yourself because the driver has siesta until 2:30 or 3pm. No one cares that you paid money and this service e was included 3. In case you have a zoom or similar vcr in the morning - room cleaning will be knocking in your door every 15 min and trying to turn off the light (the latter looked pretty shocking). Again because you need to fit into their schedule and not vise a versa. 4. No pens and paper to make notes in the room 5. No instructions on how the telephone works, in case you have a question, be prepared to walk to the reception. 6. Any late checkout costs money, even if it is +1 hour and no guests are expected to move into your room. So you will be kicked out at 11am sharp 7. Dirty plates at breakfast 8. Dirty and old furniture

We really enjoyed our stay here, the Spa is fantastic, the food is wonderful, the bar area very relaxing, and the shuttle bus to the lifts was very welcome. Most of the staff have worked there for a long time which is always a good sign! Everyone was friendly and helpful.

The hotel is owned by a family who is always present and try to satisfy all your needs. Even if it is a dog friendly hotel it is very clean, we did not felt dog smell or heard dog barks. Everything we tried at the restaurant was delicious. They also offered second plate if you wanted more or extra if you would like to try another dish. The ski room was big and clean. The spa is beautiful, with a heated pool both inside and outside. The saunas and relax room were separated, adults only. We were bothered by one thing: while our children were playing in the pool, other guests complained, even though there were other families with children who were noisier than ours. Only we were told that we were causing a disturbance. The pool was not a relaxation area; that was completely separate, and guests seeking relaxation could go there. Room was confortable, but a little bit noisy from the street. We had the first floor facing the street, luckily the street wasn’t very crowded. They had a very nice driver Robert who took us to the lifts and back with a minivan. They were selling skipass in the reception and also you could rent equipment online and find it in the skiroom when you arrived. We also asked for ski service and we left it in the evening and found them ready in the morning!
