Hotel Capri

We stayed for 7 nights at this hotel. It is a smart looking hotel in the most perfect location in Sorrento. 5 minute walk from the train and bus stations. 10 minute stroll past little shops to the piazza and the drains. We love Sorrento and this hotel was close to everything. The breakfast was lovely, especially the pancakes which are freshly made to order and always arrived quickly and with a smile. Housekeeping were thorough and serviced our room daily, absolutely no issues there at all. The only disappointment we had was with our room. After seeing all the lovely refurbished rooms which hotel capri post on social media and their website, we expected a nice spacious and modern room. We did not get a nice room. So be aware that not all rooms are to the standard shown on hotel capri’s social media, or their website. Our room was tiny, very dated and the bathroom was particularly tiny, dated and very tired. The furniture in the room was insufficient for a week long holiday. Only two very small drawers in the wardrobe which is not enough space for two people. No bedside drawer so everything ended up staying in vanity cases on the floor. I have attached pictures of our room. The air con was faulty when we arrived and the led panel flashed bright blue lights all night. We had to block it by piling suitcases up against it as it was unbelievably bright, but then I couldn’t walk round the bed to access the bathroom in the night. It was fixed on our third day. The bathroom extractor fan also did not work and this was not fixed. We reported these issues to the two young women on reception following our arrival and they were not helpful, or particularly friendly, they said they knew it was broken. However, the following morning we met the hotel manager at breakfast, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and all other staff were kind, smiley and attentive, and made breakfast very enjoyable. On the whole, we would stay here again, and the issues did not spoil our lovely week in sorrento, but we would not stay in that room!

The hotel pictures do not do this justice. The hotel is so clean and tidy, the staff were immaculately dressed. They were so friendly and helpful. Gave recommendations when needed. Had fresh towels every day. Brilliant location into the centre of Sorrento. Booked us taxis when needed. Couldn’t recommend the hotel enough. Also as someone who’s Gluten Free they had a few options on display and then had a bread roll/croissant if I wanted.

The hotel is wonderfully located in the heart of sorrento only minutes from The main piazza. The hotel is beautiful furnished and offers a calm excellence. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The room was small but perfectly adequate. Breakfast was really lovely in a great calm setting. I would highly recommend this lovely hotel as a base to stay in the beautiful Sorrento.

We stayed in Hotel Capri, Sorrento for one week in May. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The hotel was exceptionally clean and all staff were very friendly. Breakfast was amazing with so much choice of both warm and cold choices. Theresa the hotel manager went out of her way to speak to everyone whenever she could and was always ready to help if needed. The hotel was in a perfect location to access all of Sorrento on foot. It is situated on a busy road so we would advise that if you are booking a room you choose one overlooking the pool, with a balcony. One tiny suggestion would be that the hotel provide a price list for the items available in each room’s fridge. A thoroughly enjoyable week spent at the Hotel Capri which we highly recommend. This is a lovely boutique hotel, very well decorated and clean. The breakfast is excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly. It’s in an ideal location, close to the railway station and a short walk to the town center. It makes an ideal base for exploring the area i.e. Amalfi Coast, Pompei, Naples etc. It has a small pool and garden area where you can relax for a while. The adjacent church bells ring out early in the morning, but it never really bothered us that much.

We would have liked an onsite restaurant for dinners. Otherwise it was a great hotel.

We had a four day stay at Hotel Capri in Sorrento. The hotel manager Teresa was fantastic and helpful in every way. Teresa recommended an 8 hour tour of the Amalfi coast and it was amazing. The breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful every morning. Teresa thank you for your friendly nature which made our stay memorable.
