Hotel Marincanto

From the moment we walked in we felt so welcome. The environment was so warm. They even gave us a room upgrade for my husbands 40th birthday. I’d like to especially mention Dario he was beyond amazing from the moment we walked in to hours after we left. He showed us all the best spots to go to on the map with easy directions we didn’t even need googl maps! He took his time to book our ferry tickets and made sure the porters got our luggage’s down safely while communicating with me all through the way. Dario if you’re reading this thank you for all you did for us! You made our positano extra special! Marincanto all in all 10/10!

Beautiful hotel with excellent staff. Highly recommend. Probably the best hotel in Positano.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Marincanto this past July and we should’ve done a better research on location. I’ll start with the good . The location was great and had amazing views and plenty of photo opportunities, the breakfast was delicious especially the pastries we really enjoyed, we loved that we didn’t have to pay for beach access and the hotel had their private beach area and chair lounges.

Arriving to Europe we came to an understanding that refrigerated air was non existent but in the description of the hotel it does state that the rooms are air conditioned which they are to a certain extent . Our room throughout our stay was so stuffy and hot almost unbearable to sleep . We did ask for someone to check the unit as we noticed our room was just not cooling . They came and checked and told us that we must keep it on at all times of the day in order for it to run properly and keep the room cool , which we have been doing for the past 2 nights. We asked for at least a fan to circulate the room and it was not provided throughout our stay . The room remained at 79 degrees throughout our whole stay. Extremely uncomfortable. The mattress had a plastic undercover which was extremely unpleasant and not comfortable during sleep when you’re tossing and turning. The tv was satellite which we knew but the quality of the tv was really outdated and not working when we got to the room which we did call the front and they did end up fixing it . The tvs screen quality just stayed as is . The bathrooms were even worse than the actual room . Using the toilet you are actually sweating because there’s no air circulation at all, it had to be at least 90 degrees inside that restroom every time it was in use. The showers were so small you had to be careful which ways to turn your head or elbow would hit a corner . Private beach lounge with no lounge service . You are in charge of getting your own water and drinks when you’re down there , poolside service only . Some staff were friendly and one staff in particular made us feel extremely uneasy. We came back from dinner and on our way down a staff stopped the elevator on the 2nd floor antagonizing us asking if we were guests at the hotel , when did we check in, and what our room number was.

Beautiful location, luxury room and private beach club. Super friendly staff too!

The location was perfect and had its own private beach and pool. The views from the room were exceptional; breakfast on the terrace was a dream. The jacuzzi tub was also super relaxing after a day by the pool and beach. Loved everything about this place.

I hate to be the typical American but the stairs to the beach kicked our butts, but that is part of the experience in Positano. Just prepare yourself and get in shape! No complaints though, everything about the property was wonderful.

Sooo romantic, extremely helpful and friendly staff. They solve all your needs and more! Restaurant beautiful, delicious, iconic views! Live music! My wife did millions of pictures… pool!, beach!!! Ahhhhhhh!!!!

Absolutely beautiful hotel, service is amazing, location was perfect
