Hotel Marincanto

The property was outstanding. Staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. From the moment we arrived, we were offered an welcome drink while they were taking our luggage to our room, we also had the receptionist hand us a paper where he drew where all the attractions and local restaurants he recommended were- he not only did this for Positano, but also for our next stay in Capri! It was definitely worth staying somewhere that offered a private beach. We met the most lovely people, and if we come back, we will be sure to stay there again!

The only thing I would say is the pillows were a tad flat, could do with either an extra pillow or have a flat and fluffy pillow option.

I booked the Marincanto on the 24th of July for my engagement proposal. The hotel and the staff were exceptional! Everyone was so attentive and helpful. A very special mention to Paulo who helped me out with the Engagement planning and also keeping it a secret, he recommended restaurants not only in positano but elsewhere too. We will definitely making it an annual trip now.

The hairdryer needs to be updated. The one in our room was like those found in hotels in the 1960’s.

Very typical style of hotel for this area - quaint old style vibes with lots of yellow and blue. We had a villa which gave us lots of room and great views. Restaurant was really nice too.

Steps but that can’t be avoided in Positano really.

From the moment we walked in we felt so welcome. The environment was so warm. They even gave us a room upgrade for my husbands 40th birthday. I’d like to especially mention Dario he was beyond amazing from the moment we walked in to hours after we left. He showed us all the best spots to go to on the map with easy directions we didn’t even need googl maps! He took his time to book our ferry tickets and made sure the porters got our luggage’s down safely while communicating with me all through the way. Dario if you’re reading this thank you for all you did for us! You made our positano extra special! Marincanto all in all 10/10!
