Hotel Carla

Great staff and beautiful rooms. An easy walk from downtown and the beach. Highly recommend!

We stayed at Hotel Carla for 4 nights and enjoyed our stay very much. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was well equipped. The bed was a little on the firm side. Breakfast is very good apart from a rather mediocre coffee (from a self service machine). The hotel is very well situated, near the town center as well as the ship and train stations. Another plus point are the hotel bicycles which are available for free. Do not forget to reserve though.

The hotel was close to the downtown & the train station. Terrific, friendly & helpful staff. Clean & nicely decorated with good sized rooms & great breakfast.

This hotel is in a great location to the cinque terre. You can walk to the hotel from the train station. When we arrived Chiara at the front desk was very pleasant and welcoming. We arrived earlier than check in time and she offered to hold our bags so we can start exploring. The hotel lobby and dinning room are very modern. The rooms are also updated and nice. The breakfast was delicious and had many choices to pick from.

We had a small suite which was well appointed although the bathroom was small. There was a balcony looking over the hillside. The room was comfortable but we did need the air-conditioning as the temperatures got quite hot. The desk staff were lovely and very helpful- special thanks to Chiara- who welcomed us with cold drinks or coffee when we arrived or came back from exploring the Cinque Terre. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel made bikes available are of charge allowing us to ride along the waterfront and through the restored railway tunnel to Bonassola a few Km away; a gorgeous, flat, relaxing and glorious experience- take the ride, walk around Bonasole and sit at the cafe on the beach from and watch the water, not crowded at all.. This hotel was 5 min walk from the train station, 5-10 min walk from the beach front, and was the ideal location for us to explore the Cinque Terre by either ferry or train- we did it both ways and were not disappointed. Levanto is also a pleasant small town with public and private beach areas, plenty of local-fare restaurants, and worth making a base here.

Hostess (owner?) was very helpful with our bicycles and advice about the lock area. She spoke perfect English.

The property was at a very convenient location with just a 5-10 minute walk from the railway station and the city centre. The staff were very warm, helpful and welcoming. Amenities and breakfast were good at an expected level. Only flip side of the stay was that we got a corner room which meant the room was quite small. There should be a provision to differentiate these rooms from other ones given the variation in size. Apart from this, overall it was a great experience.

Nice peaceful location in the real city of Levanto with easy access to the bustling tourist towns of Cinque Terre. Excellent breakfast buffet. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room. Reasonable price.
