Hotel Carla

Excellent hotel with outstanding service! Location is maybe 1/3 mi to the train station, and 1/3 mi the other way to the downtown restaurants. Wi-Fi, AC and included breakfast were all great! Newly updated rooms and bath. Nice sized shower, and comfortable bed.

Hotel Carla was the best hotel that we stayed in Italy! The room was spacious, luxuous, and comfortable. The breakfast was awesome, and best of all the service was fantastic! Patrizia and Laura were very helpful explaining everything! They had a nice cool glass of water and cookie waiting for us when we checked in, and they were also kind enough to keep our luggage an extra day while we explored this beautiful area. Levanto is on the upper end of the Cinque Terre and easy to catch a train to any of the Cinques. My only regret is that we didn’t have another day or two to enjoy this beautiful hotel and take advantage of the beaches in Levanto. Hopefully we will have another trip back. This place is definitely a four or five star in my opinion, especially for European standards. We stayed another hotels that were rated three or four and would not even equal a two star in my opinion. What you see in Hotels.com for Carla is what you get, and that is a beautiful and comfortable place to stay.

Overall our stay at the Carla was a very positive experience. Our room was small (as other reviews have noted) but very well appointed for a three-star hotel and very clean. We were disappointed that our room did nor have a balcony and/or a good view but, fortunately, there is a lovely veranda at the front of the hotel. We enjoyed some down time with an aperitif and nibblies each day when we returned from sightseeing. (When booking ask for a room with a balcony if it matters to you.) The breakfast was excellent (also as mentioned in other reviews)--lots of variety and very fresh. Hotel Carla is well located with only a short walk to good restaurants (notably, Da Rino and L'Articiocca) and shopping in the town centre and also to the train station. The staff at Hotel Carla are topnotch. Laura and Patricia were especially friendly and helpful. All in all, a great stay in a great little hotel. We were also glad to be away from the hustle and bustle of the Cinque Terre per se.

We had an awesome stay at Hotel Carla! The service was better than anything you could have asked for. The staff was very engaging and helpful in explaining everything in the surrounding area. Our room was very clean and spacious. The AC worked very well - for those who like to sleep in a cold room like we did. The hotel is close to everything but far enough away to have peace and quiet from the crowds. Just a short 2 minute walk into town. The walking path to Monterosso is within walking distance. I would highly recommend the Levanto - Monterosso trail if you are into hiking. A little strenuous but definitely worth the amazing views and it is free unlike the CT trails. Trains go into and out of Levanto frequently for access to CT. Levanto also has an awesome bike trail along the coastline that is a most do, and Hotel Carla has bikes to use - for free! Hotel Carla made our stay in Levanto memorable. We cannot wait to go back!

The staff very friendly easy access to train station and to the beach well centered

The managers and the people working are of top quality making the personal connection. The hotel concept and the breakfast are great but there are problems with some rooms. The room that we stayed was small to the level that we had hard time managing the two luggages that we had. In addition, our room and the room next door was like 1.5 meter away from the next building with limited sun-shine and it well really claustrophobic. Thus eventhough I loved the concept and the people working I can only give medium marks for this stay...

Lovely staff. Modern amenities. Conveniently located near the train station. The maid service upon arrival to our room could have been a bit more thorough.

Hotel Carla is a lovely family Italian hotel in an excellent location in Levanto. The room are very modern and absolutely spotless. We had a lovely little sunny veranda. The breakfast was first rate. The staff and service excellent. Our special thanks go to Laura and Patrizia for their help and such friendly welcome. We would recommend this hotel to all.

The hotel and staff was very nice and the breakfast had fabulous baked goods.

The hotel room was excellent. It was very clean and the air conditioning worked extremely well. It is located about 150m from the train station, providing quick, easy access to all of Cinque Terre. It's about a 7-minute walk to downtown Levanto, which is a great place to hang out for a bit. The breakfast was very good. Also, the staff was very helpful with everything.
